today: guest posting

good morning all!  i hope you had wonderful memorial day weekends.  they just fly by.

today i'm guesting posting for erin at

Just a Few of My Favorite Things

she is supposed to be vacationing in riviera maya and instead is at home nursing a horrible ankle sprain.  please stop by her blog and tell her hello and send well wishes.

if you're stopping by from erin's blog.  welcome!  i'm so glad you're here.  i decided to grace you with an oldie but goodie post about one of my favorite things: the pop tart:

for the love of poptarts

apparently i'm the self proclaimed poptart yogini.  i love poptarts.  a lot.  they're the highlight of my day during the work week.  i look forward to breakfast time the second i get out of bed.  my favorites are chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolate fudge.  not all the chocolate flavors are good though.  the ice cream shoppe varieties have 25% less sugar.  when you eat them you think 'gee, this would be really good if there was about 25% more sugar'.  no one wants a bland poptart.  oh, and the fruit flavors?  those are the real black sheep of the poptart family.  who wants cherry when cookies and cream is an option?  please, keep the fruit away from the poptarts.

so, that's my love affair with poptarts.  one day you take a box off the shelf at the grocery store because you haven't had one in awhile.  the next day you've got five varieties (and one box of vanilla milkshake that is in desperate need of 25% more sugar way in the back that you hope no one notices) lined up like little soldiers in the pantry and your husband looks at you like he's wondering where things went wrong.

and here i am.  the poptart yogini.

p.s. i cheat on the poptarts during the weekend with tony the tiger.
as always, thank you so much for stopping by and enjoy the day!

  2. I love pop tarts but I always feel so guilty when I eat them! Every time I go to the grocery store, I stop in the pop tart aisle and stare at the boxes thinking "ooh, pop tarts!" and then I talk myself out of buying them because of the calories and sugar. And then I read your blog and wish that I had some yummy chocolate pop tarts and a cold glass of milk...
