for all intents and purposes it was a "good" winter. king louie only had to break out the snow blower twice and my car's thermometer only was in the single digits once. we had 80 degree temperatures in mid-march but we knew it wouldn't last. last year it snowed in early april. we only had one car, king louie needed it for work and so he drove me to work in the snow. i cried. i was a grown woman crying because it was snowing. it wasn't pretty.
today when i drove to work it was about 55 degrees. i had my seat warmer on. i watched the sunshine all day and 8.5 hours after my arrival they unchained me from my desk. i walked outside into the sunshine and i felt hope. hope that we made it. that these warm temperatures might be here to stay and we will be rewarded with more days where my thermometer reads 81 degrees.
if you're interested, the little ranch in the background of this picture is where king louie and i live. it's called suburbia.
we are also having nice weather right now and i am loving it!
ReplyDeleteI love that you cried at the snow - sometimes, these things just HAPPEN and ya can't help the tears! :)
ReplyDeleteNice and warm for ya! We're getting there too - lots of cold rain last weekend but we're back to sunny and 70*. Standard Colorado.
cute ranch!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of 81 degrees. It's already hitting the high 90s here which, I'm sorry, is just ridiculous.
I'm jealous of the 81 degrees, too, because it rarely gets that warm in SF! If it reaches 70 here, everyone busts out the shorts and summer dresses. But we never have snow, so I guess it's a fair trade off.
ReplyDeleteLove that you love in a beautiful suburban neighborhood :)
ReplyDeleteWe hit 80 yesterday in Seattle! totally unheard of for mid-May!
ReplyDeleteWe hit the upper 70s today and I loved every second of it. Would've loved it even more if I hadn't been chained to my desk as well :)
ReplyDeleteIt started off cold and rainy here today and just like you, by the end of the work day it had turned beautiful! I love when that happens!
ReplyDeleteyour surburbia looks nice :)
ReplyDeletei hope you made it (to the good weather) too!
